Ordering & Legal Compliance

How do I buy a firearm or silencer from Honey Badger Gun?

Firearms and silencers must be shipped to a Federal Firearms License (FFL) holder.

Place your order on our site.
Choose a local dealer and have them email a copy of their license to orders@honeybadgergun.com.
Once we verify the license, we ship the item to them, and you complete the background check at their shop.

Do you ship to restricted states (CA, NY, NJ, etc.)?

We comply with all state and local laws. Some products, such as the Honey Badger® or certain Q Silencers, may be restricted in your state. We recommend contacting your local FFL to confirm the legality of an item before placing your order.

What is an NFA item, and why is the wait longer?

NFA items include silencers and Short Barreled Rifles (SBRs). These require a $200 Federal Tax Stamp and ATF approval. We must file a Form 3 to ship the item to your dealer, which typically takes 7–14 days. Once at your dealer, you will file a Form 4 to take it home.

Why does Q use a 1:5 twist for 300 Blackout?

Most manufacturers use a 1:7 or 1:8 twist, but Q pioneered the 1:5 twist to properly stabilize heavy subsonic projectiles (like 220gr rounds) out of short barrels. This faster rotation increases accuracy and prevents “keyholing” or baffle strikes.

What is the 25° Taper Mount?

Unlike traditional 90-degree shoulders that rely on shims or crush washers, Q uses a 25-degree taper. This ensures the Cherry Bomb™ and your Q Silencer are perfectly concentric to the bore every time, providing a gas-tight seal and repeatable zero.

Is the “Clear Anodizing” supposed to look different on every gun?

Yes. Q’s signature clear hard-coat anodizing is not a paint or Cerakote. It is a chemical process that strengthens the aluminum. Because it is clear, the natural variations in the metal shine through, making every Honey Badger and Sugar Weasel unique in its shade and “honey” tint.

Accessories & Compatibility

Do I need to “time” the Cherry Bomb™ muzzle brake?

No. The Cherry Bomb is a 360-degree radial brake. It does not require timing, shims, or crush washers. Simply torque it down to the barrel, and it is ready for suppressed or unsuppressed fire.

What is the Plan-B™ Adapter?

The Plan-B allows you to use the Q Taper-Mount system with silencers from other manufacturers. If you own a “can” from a different brand but want to use the Cherry Bomb, the Plan-B is your solution.
