Refund & Cancellation Policy
At Honey Badger Gun, we take pride in the precision of our engineering and the efficiency of our service. Because we deal with highly regulated National Firearms Act (NFA) items and Federal Firearms License (FFL) transfers, our refund policy is designed to address the unique legal and administrative requirements of the firearms industry.
By placing an order on our site, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to the terms outlined below.
1. Non-Regulated Items (Accessories & Parts)
For items that do not require an FFL or NFA transfer (e.g., Cherry Bomb™ Muzzle Brakes, Plan-B™ Adapters, springs, and apparel):
Return Window: You have 30 days from the date of delivery to request a return.
Condition: Items must be in new, unused, and unaltered condition with all original packaging. Items that have been installed, fired, or marrred (carbon buildup on muzzle devices) are not eligible for return.
Restocking Fee: Returns for “buyer’s remorse” are subject to a 15% restocking fee to cover processing and inspection.
Shipping: Original shipping costs are non-refundable. The customer is responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to a factory defect or shipping error on our part.
2. Firearm Returns (Rifles & Pistols)
Firearms include the Honey Badger®, Sugar Weasel®, and The Fix™.
Before Transfer: If you cancel your order before the firearm has shipped to your FFL, a 15% cancellation fee will apply.
At the FFL: DO NOT take possession of a firearm from your dealer if you notice a defect or if it is the incorrect model. Once you complete the Form 4473 and take the firearm home, it is considered “used” and cannot be returned to us.
Failed Background Checks: If you are denied during the background check at your local dealer, you are responsible for the return shipping and a 25% restocking fee. We highly recommend ensuring you are eligible to own a firearm before placing an order.
3. NFA Item Returns (Silencers & SBRs)
Items such as the Trash Panda™, Thunder Chicken™, and Honey Badger SD are subject to strict ATF regulations.
Form 3 Phase: Once a Form 3 (Dealer-to-Dealer transfer) has been initiated with the ATF, cancellations are subject to a 25% fee. This covers the administrative labor of reversing federal paperwork.
Form 4 Phase: Once you have started the Form 4 (Tax Stamp) process with your local dealer, we cannot accept returns or offer refunds. At this stage, the item is legally tied to your name/trust in the ATF database.
ATF Denials: In the event your Form 4 is denied by the ATF, please contact us. Refunds in these cases are handled on a case-by-case basis and are subject to the 25% restocking fee.
4. Defective Merchandise
If you receive a product that is defective out of the box, please refer to our Warranty Policy. We will coordinate with Q LLC factory technicians to repair or replace the item at no cost to you. We do not issue “refunds” for defective items that can be serviced under the manufacturer’s lifetime warranty.
5. How to Initiate a Return
To start a return or cancellation request:
Email orders@honeybadgergun.com with your Order Number and the reason for the request.
Wait for a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and shipping instructions.
Clearly mark the RMA number on the outside of the package. Packages received without an RMA will be refused.
